Nelly and an all female drumline - creative and very clever! This is history in fact. The first all female drumline. And the performance was somewhat positive towards females. This was an excellent opportunity to promote the positivity of Hip Hop, and Nelly did it! He showed females in a positive light. I understnad that the drumline featured one of DC’s own from Shaw Junior High School Band, Class of 2000, Morgan Anna Terry. She played the Quadson the right of the TV or video and is really moving side to side. Contact Mr. Hoover at Shaw for details about Shaw’s Band if you don’t know.

It’s the talk of DC and nationwide. Nelly held auditions nationwide and selected 13 girls out of 100. Oh, and DC is hoping Nelly will do some GO GO with DC’s finest!
