Terrence Howard Loves His Fellow Man Unconditionally

Actor Terrence Howard is featured on the cover of the April/May 2008 issue of Giant Magazine.
In the cover story, The Iron Man star gets his last action hero on and talks about saving people from lust and the fear of gay behavior, amongst other things.
Terrence Howard on Finding the Right Woman
“It’s so hard to find a good woman who’s gonna help build the family and not be so interested in just building herself. I could be like any other male wannabe celebrity out there and hang out and date a bunch of people. Of course, there’s a beautiful opportunity to be out there and free. Why not eat up all the fruit on the trees? But the end result is that those things bring a dishonor to the family, and I will have served nobody but myself. I’ve sacrificed what I want to do for the sake of my family, and that’s what I need.”Terrence Howard on Male Attraction
“Sometimes men are drawn to each other and don’t know how to deal with that. So they think, ‘I must be gay!’ But we hide from the quality that is most prolific in human beings, to express love. God is love. And we remain in his image. Only one other angel is made in his image, and he became Jesus on this earth, his only begotten son. So why is it that we run from love? Why can’t men look at each other in the eye with honesty?”Terrence Howard on Raising His Kids
“My father believed in supervision. That’s why my kids are always with me. That’s why I don’t go out. It’s not ‘cause I don’t want to go out. But I don’t know any other creature in nature that leaves their kids with someone else. The bear don’t go to the owl and say, ‘Hey, can you watch my cub?’ No, they stay with their offspring until they’re in a position to do otherwise. I just believe in older values.”Terrence Howard on His Role in Ironman
“Jim Rhodes is one of the first black superheroes that was really given prominence. He even donned the Iron Man suit for a number of years when Iron Man couldn’t do it. Then he became his own individual, War Machine, who,” Howard adds with a sly grin, “was more powerful than Iron Man.”

Alicia Keys in Giant Magazine
December 14th, 2007 | Posted in Magazine, Music

A bubblelicious Alicia Keys graces the cover of the December 2007/January 2008 issue of Giant Magazine.
Here are some excerpts from Giant’s interview with the sexy R&B singer:
Keys on her new album:
“It’s still me,” says Keys over dinner. “It’s more of an evolution than a departure. I came into this game at nineteen, at the most transitional phase of a young woman’s life.”
Why she thinks she’s been able to stay out of the tabloids:
“I guess the way I roll is really low-key,” she says with a shrug and then concedes, “I guess it is pretty amazing. I was looking at a magazine earlier and thinking, ‘How is it that two people are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and there’s a picture of them there?’ Like, seriously, how does somebody know when you’re gonna be on a boat in the middle of the ocean? That’s crazy!”
What made her realize it was time to take some time off:
“There were definitely things going on with me that weren’t right,” she admits. “I was feeling so sad all the time, and I couldn’t shake it. I couldn’t sleep. Musically, I would try to create, and I’d be feeling so anxious and judgmental. The things I was hearing in my head—the chord changes, the vocals and the lyrics—were just weird. I was trippin’. I guess you could say I was losing it…”
Why Keys is so secretive:
“My mom wears her emotions on her sleeve. She can’t hide how she feels,” Keys says. “That’s why I’m so reserved ’cause she’s so external.”
Does anyone have the Keys to her kingdom?
“I definitely found my partner,” she says. “I know he is somebody who will always be special to me and that we’re always going to be in each other’s lives.”
