Jailed rapper Remy Ma is planning to marry her fiancée Papoose while she awaits sentencing for assault.
The hip-hop star faces up to 25 years in prison after shooting an acquaintance outside a Manhattan nightclub last July.
She will tie the knot with fellow rapper Papoose at New York’s Rikers Island jail ahead of the hearing on April 23rd.
Remy’s lawyer Ivan Fisher told the Associated Press: “They’re much in love. They’re very committed to each other, and they had intended to marry one way or another.”
Only two guests will be permitted at the ceremony, which will take place in the mess hall at the Rose M. Singer Center on Rikers Island.
