Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan has begun repaying her debt to society, as part of the plea deal relating to her convictions for driving under the influence earlier this year.

The Mean Girls actress started her 10-day stint on Monday afternoon at an American Red Cross blood services facility in Los Angeles. She left the building at around 7 p.m. and was carrying a book titled Blood.

Lohan was charged with driving under the influence and being under the influence of cocaine in relation to two drink-driving arrests in Beverly Hills, California and nearby Santa Monica in May and July of this year.

Police allegedly found cocaine in her possession on both occasions, although officials say the amount of the drug was below the 0.05 grams required for a felony offence.

Lindsay was initially sentenced to four days behind bars in August, after pleading guilty to two of the seven misdemeanor charges against her, but a judge cut that in half and ordered her to carry out 10 days of community service instead.

In related news, Lindsay recently passed her 100th day of sobriety.

Congratulations!
