R&B superstars Rihanna and Chris Brown are being sued for $1 million by a Florida photographer, who claims that their security attacked him and stole his camera earlier this year.
According to the St. Petersburg Times, Luis Santana alleges that bodyguards for the duo stole his $3,000 camera after he took a photo of the couple through an open window of their limousine from outside Chris Brown’s 19th birthday party at the Vintage Ultra Lounge on May 6th.
The 26-year-old photographer wants his stolen camera replaced and compensation for the photo he lost. Apparently, the picture was worth a lot of money since it showed the two lovebirds together before they publicly confirmed their romantic relationship.
Rihanna’s publicist, Jonathan Hay, has called the lawsuit a “really unfortunate event”. He added, “I do believe that this matter is completely blown out of proportion and I strongly believe that we need to focus on the positive things in the world not the negative things.”
