Lil Wayne and Birdman
Rap superstar Lil Wayne believes he should be treated like Martin Luther King, Jr.

During a recent interview with XXL Magazine, the self-proclaimed “greatest rapper alive” compared himself to Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X.

When asked about the perception he’s over-saturating the market with his music, Wayne said, “Darling, I don’t care what nobody think. Talk to me like you talk to Martin Luther King or Malcolm X. You’re not going to ask him about what he thinks about what somebody said about him. You ask him about his greatness and his greatness only.”

Damn, I don’t know what Lil Wayne has been smoking, but I want to try it!

he aint brung niggas together in peace listening to his music
but his music have brung niggas together to get “hype” and drink smoke then kill each other
to me he is disrespecting martin luther king by even comparing him to the type of **** he do
he rap about money cars and hoes like the rest of em…… he rap bout blasting niggas martin luther talked about freedom from discrmination and peace amongt everybody
    and wayne not

Lil’ Wayne is not indisputably the best rapper alive. He is the best rapper alive by opinion. Personally I believe Lupe Fiasco is the best rapper alive. Lil’ Wayne just makes hot tracks. But no matter how great you are as a rapper you should never compare yourself to Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcolm X. That is borderline blasphemy. No one in their right mind does or should follow him. He is not even a good role model. He uses all kinds of drugs and on top of that he is dumb! On probation and carry around weight of hard drugs. That’s about the epitome of dumb. To even consider that he could be compared or even CONTRASTED to any great leader is nothing more and HOPEFULLY nothing less than just plain ignorance. If any knowledge of what was said is present then that would just make you an idiot. But I will give the benefit of the doubt and call you an ignoramus.

lil wayne is a terrible rapper. he needs to ****** take speech classes and get rid of that voice he has. cant understand a ****** word he says..which..in my opinion is a good thing. the only hip hop artists that have the credibility to even mention “greatest rapper alive” “martin luther king” and “malcolm x” in the same sentence would be somewhere along the lines of tupac chuck d and krs one.

he didnt say that he wanted to be treated like Dr.Luther King or even campared him self to Dr.Luther King
    Yall just saying sh*t
all he said was that he wanted to be talked as how poeple talk to Dr.Luther King cause he wanted to be asked for what great things he had done in his life
because usally people that interview rappers talk about the negative things they done
and yes i think he is not really a good influence but at the same time he is cause he is one of the few rappers the are in unversity and actually doing something good in his life..and he is also a smart person academicly
and not all his songs are aboub drugs and *** if you actally listen to his songs you will realize he talks about his fathers death, is daughter and more

Lil Wayne is no doubt the best rapper alive right now hands down. Lupe Fiasco is like a nobody his tracks suck and they are corny. Lil wayne has had more hott tracks already than most rappers get in their whole career. He should not even ask to be talked to like Martin Jr. Martin talked about things completely different than lil weezy does and Martin made the world a better place. He discriminated behavior that lil wayne promotes.
