Crack Kills: Ike Turner Died From Overdose

Proud Mary wouldn’t be so proud to find out that soul legend Ike Turner died from a cocaine overdose.

The rock ‘n’ roll pioneer, who had been arrested for several drug-related crimes, was found dead in his San Diego home on December 12, 2007.

Turner’s toxicology report revealed that his body showed signs of cardiovascular disease and emphysema, which had contributed to the 76-year-old’s death.

Chief Investigator Paul Parker said, “We are listing that he abused cocaine, and that’s what resulted in the cocaine toxicity.”

Wow, crack really does kill.
