Bobby Brown has confessed to sleeping with a long line of women during his 15-year marriage to Whitney Houston.
In his upcoming autobiography, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But, the self-proclaimed “King of R&B” said the marriage was doomed almost from the start.
He wrote: “Within the first year we separated, with several more to follow. I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married… I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.”
The 39-year-old also claimed that Whitney had married him to end speculation that she was romantically involved with her female assistant Robin Crawford.
Bobby said: “That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not. In the short, I think I got caught up in the politics and ended up marrying one of the biggest stars in the world.”
However, the singer admitted that he had not helped the doomed relationship by being unfaithful, saying: “I am guilty of sleeping with other women… Women are always throwing themselves at you. I’m only human, so I would make the mistake and bite the hook sometimes. I let the testosterone take over.”
But here’s the shocker: Bobby Brown also admitted that he once dated Janet Jackson.
He revealed: “The way our relationship ended kind of broke my heart. I was telling her that I loved her and wanted her to leave the guy she was with at the time. She told me she couldn’t and that her family wouldn’t allow her to be with a black man. This really shocked me so I backed off.”
The autobiography, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But, is due in stores next month.
