Eddie Murphy’s sham of marriage to Tracy Edmonds was over before it started because the bridezilla refused to sign a pre-nuptial agreement.
The suspect couple went their separate ways just two weeks after tying the knot in Bora Bora, and before they could make the marriage legally binding in the States.
An insider claims the relationship fell apart because Tracey refused to sign away her rights to Eddie’s money.
A source tells the New York Post, “When it came down to the legal marriage, Tracey wouldn’t sign a pre-nup.”
But can you blame her? Tracey is legally due alimony until she remarries or dies, thus ex-husband Babyface must continue to cut the check!

Just as I predicted, Eddie Murphy and his so-called wife, Tracey Edmonds, have split just two weeks after their sham of a wedding.
The suspect couple exchanged nuptials on a private island off the coast of Bora Bora on January 1, 2008. They had been planning to renew their vows as soon as they returned to the States because the wedding was not legally binding.
But the second ceremony never took place and now the couple is no more.
Oh, my, my, my! Eddie ended his spiritual sexual union of a man and woman and has asked for the marriage to be officially annulled.
His rep issued the following statement:
“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further.
While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
I wonder what Eddie’s secret lover, Johnny Gill, has to say about all this. Everyone knows that they’re on the DL (down low, doin’ the butt). But Eddie remains in the closet.

Eddie Murphy entered into holy matrimony with Tracey Edmonds in a New Year’s Day ceremony.
The couple hit up a private island off the coast of Bora Bora to get married in front of 25 friends and family on Tuesday.
Eddie wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief that highlighted his coke bottle smile.
Tracey, on the other hand, walked barefoot down the aisle as if she couldn’t wear something borrowed.
After the wedding, Tracey gave her bridesmaids diamond earrings while Eddie gave Johnny Gill a designer watch. What a hot mess!!! I give Tracey less than 6 months before Johnny runs her ass off!!!
