R&B superstar Usher is raging at the media for taking aim at his wife.
The 29-year old singer wed stylist Tameka Foster last September and the couple welcomed their first son, Usher Raymond V, two months later.
However, the Love in This Club hitmaker has been forced to defend his union on several occasions, admitting the media backlash against his wife has definitely “affected” him.
He says, “Of course a lot of what I read does affect me. There’s been a lot of untrue statements that have come out. One, my wife’s age. Two, her name. She’s not a Foster, she’s a Raymond. I married her.
“Also, the fact that maybe there was some malicious intent on her part with my family or my mother. There’s a lot of transformations that have taken place in my life and unfortunately my wife got a bad beat for it. But I’m very happy.
“She’s not done anything in a negative way other than make me a better man in life. As a father, as a more conscious individual.”
Usher continued his rant on MTV’s Total Request Live on Tuesday, while he was co-hosting the show to promote the release of his highly-anticipated album, “Here I Stand,” which is available in stores now.
He raged, “I love my wife very very much and there has been a little rumor earlier this week about us separating; it ain’t true… As a matter of fact I’m tired of people continuing to talk so much trash about me… I’m a black strong man in America standing up to my people.”

Usher’s wife Tameka Foster has reportedly been giving R&B singer Keri Hilson a hard time for playing his love interest in his new video, “Love in This Club”. Here’s the scoop:
Our on-set source said Foster was upset when she found out stunning singer/songwriter Keri Hilson was personally picked by Usher to play his love interest in the video.
“It was supposed to be a sexy video shoot,” our spy said. “And Tameka was there the entire time guarding like a watchdog. It was ridiculous - she knows Keri and knows she’s no video ho or Karrine Steffans.” Steffans, nicknamed “Superhead,” wrote the book, “Video Vixen,” about her alleged flings with Usher and several other artists.
“Tameka is very insecure,” our source said. “Even in rehearsals she was weird and clearly not happy that Keri is so gorgeous. Tameka threw a lot of attitude. The day of the shoot, Tameka dressed Keri very badly - she looked like an extra. Tameka wouldn’t let Keri have her hairdresser there - she had to use the hairdresser who was doing the extras.”

R&B superstar Usher insists the birth of his first child, Usher Raymond V, has transformed him into a “super dad”.
He says, “I’m really like super dad. Really. I really cook for the family.
“Now I basically do chicken and broccoli and steamed vegetables, because I’m on this diet. But believe me, I can fry some chicken too…
“I really clean up. I walk the dog, myself. I burp the baby. I change the diapers. I trim the tree. I’m about to get the things for the tree after this because it’s bare. I’m super dad. And it’s only begun.”

The wife of R&B star Usher recently went off on a rant about the singer’s jealous fans that have made her life a living hell ever since the couple announced its engagement.
Tameka Foster, who gave birth to Usher’s baby boy last week, can’t believe how her own people have turned against her.
She tells Essence Magazine, “We (black women) don’t like ourselves. If I were Hispanic, Usher would have the sexiest wife alive. If I were mixed, he’d have the sexiest wife alive.
“But he has a black girl, and it’s like, ‘She’s horrible and she’s ugly!’ “OK, maybe I don’t fit the cookie-cutter standard - 25 and a size two - but this is who he loves.”
And Tameka insists the black media and black women, in particular, should focus their attention on more important issues.
For example, “There are women getting raped in Darfur, young girls being turned out every single day right here in Atlanta. We have bigger issues to worry about than two people in love with each other.”

R&B Star Usher Calls Out The Black Media

Usher has more than enough reasons to be thankful for the safe birth of his baby son, because it ends a year that was filled with drama, romance, and hate.
The R&B star tells Essence Magazine, “Man, this has been a hard year, but it’s taught me courage. It’s taught me strength… It has taught me what it is to stand as a man, really.”
And the 29-year-old singer insists the hardships he and Tameka had to endure before they wed, as the black media and jealous fans turned against them, will only make any future marital issues a piece of cake to solve.
He adds, “Tameka and I have been fortunate enough to go through the thick of it in the beginning. We’ve had the opportunity to huddle up as a team, to make sure that we’re clear and speak as one voice.”

Usher’s Mom Speaks Out About His New Baby

R&B star Usher’s newborn son has helped heal the rift between himself and his mother Jonetta Patton.
Jonetta, who fell out with her son when he announced his plans to marry the mother of his child, stylist Tameka Foster, has embraced the couple’s new baby, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday.
The trilled new grandmother told People Magazine, “I’m extremely excited and filled with joy about the birth of my grandson, Usher Raymond V.
“He is beautiful, precious, healthy and such a blessing. I’m very happy for my son and his wife. God has truly blessed them with a special gift. This will be an amazing holiday season for all of us.”
In an official statement from the happy couple, Usher and Tameka said, “We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son.”
Aww, isn’t that special? Mama Patton made up the Beauty and the Beast just in time to receive a Christmas present from them.
