Lil’ Wayne Hearts T-Pain
March 17th, 2008 | Posted in Music News

Hip-Hop star Lil Wayne has named R&B singer T-Pain as one of the artists who inspired his upcoming album, Tha Carter III.
The self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” recently sat down with MTV News to discuss his love for the T-Pain singing effect, which Lil Wayne has been experimenting with on various released tracks.
He says, “I am music. That’s me, Jack. I found a new love for music, and I got to owe it to a lot of people in the game. They don’t even know. I got to owe a lot to T-Pain. He made me really look at myself. I always look at somebody like, ‘I can’t do what you do, but man, I damn sure wish I could.’ So when I figure out what I could do about that, I go and do it. So every time I get a chance to say it, T-Pain, Prince, Wyclef, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz — all these are people I looked at the past two years. I viewed them seriously and was like, ‘Wow, I could do that without being totally them.’ I can present it as Lil Wayne.”
Tha Carter III is scheduled to be released on May 13, 2008.

2007 American Music Awards - Red Carpet
November 19th, 2007 | Posted in Celebrity Sightings, Music News, Television
The stars came out in full force for the 2007 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California last night.

Here’s Fergie showing off her great legs in a Dsquared mini dress.

Amanda Bynes showed off her great legs as well.

Nicole Scherzinger took a risk and it paid off in this multi-colored number. She looks wonderful.

Beyonce — Mama Knowles certainly went all out for this one. Fabulous dress. I love it.

Vanessa Hudgens looked amazing as she lit up the red carpet in this gold sequined mini.

Ashanti wore this canary yellow dress with matching diamonds. She looks stunning.

I like Ashley Tisdale, but this dress is hideous. Maybe Zena Warrior Princess could pull it off, but not Ashley.

Carrie Underwood is a beautiful girl, but this dress does nothing for her.

This is a nice Dolce & Gabbana dress, but Avril Lavigne ruins it with those god-awful shoes.

I love Rihanna, but she looks horrible in this Armani Prive dress. What a shame!

Alicia Keys looks so gorgeous in this Giorgio Armani dress. I love it.

Miley Cyrus is looking very cute in this red strapless bubble-hem dress. I like the glittery Christian Louboutins as well.

I love Mary J. Blige, but I’m just not feeling this dress. The one-sleeved shoulder is a not to my liking.

My only suggestion to Chris Brown is to get rid of that tie.

Josh Groban looks simple, but nice.

Damn, it looks like Solange got the leftovers from Beyonce’s dress! Her mama knows she wrong for this! Well, really it’s a Giambattista Valli, but my comment remains the same.

Queen Latifah is working this leopard print dress on the red carpet, and her hair looks fabulous.

Monique Coleman hit the red carpet in this draped white dress. She looks beautiful.

Lenny Kravitz looked very handsome in an all black ensemble. Nice shades.

Jordin Sparks was all smiles on the red carpet. She looked nice.

Here’s T-Pain in an iced-out fake tuxedo shirt. The scarf is a nice touch.

Here’s Omarosa and her guest — What’s up with his peacock pajamas? I guess he couldn’t find a pair of pleather pants to finish the outfit.
