Comedians Katt Williams and Steve Harvey are set to settle their standup comic beef during a head-to-head battle on New Year’s Eve in Detroit.
Fellow comedian Jamie Foxx recently instigated the competition on his Sirius XM FoxxHole radio show. First, he played a clip of Katt calling out Steve in advance of their showdown in Motown.
“I wanna apologize for what’s gonna happen,” Williams said of the head-to-head battle. “But the second that you get on stage, I need you to understand that that’s your final time as the ‘King of Comedy.’ Water seeks its own level, you can’t stop it playboy. It is what it is, so I hope you’re ready. I hope you got a team of writers. You gonna need about six or seven of ‘em….”
Steve Harvey then called in and revealed that he was confused by the rivalry. “I’ve always been cool with Katt. He said in an interview that back in LA, I didn’t know who he was,” Harvey told Foxx and crew. “I mean understand, I didn’t know who he was when I was on the radio in LA. He hadn’t been in any movies or anything, and the brother was just not that known. He was talking about me in the clubs, and I just asked on the radio, whoever Katt Williams is, to call me. He called me, we straightened it out. We became friends. We’ve been cool ever since, so I thought.”

Steve Harvey: Pardon Me, But I’m Feeling Myself
January 18th, 2008 | Posted in Celebrity Gossip, Magazines

Steve Harvey is showing off his new look on the cover of the latest issue of Jet Magazine.
In the interview, the actor-comedian says he felt the need to get his sexy back after talking to a listener on his radio program, “The Steve Harvey Morning Show.”
“The girl said to me, `Steve, you’re 50 and you are over the hill,’” Harvey recalls. “I started thinking, `Wow, I am over the hill?’ I said `OK, I got to do something to stop this line of thinking. Because at 50, I should not be thought of as over the hill. At 50, a man ought to feel that he is on top of the hill.’”
He hired a personal trainer and now works out five days a week at his Atlanta home.
“I had a potbelly and love handles,” says Harvey, who’s lost 13 pounds. “I’ve been telling people you can be 50 and fly, but when I took my clothes off, I wasn’t looking fly.”
Harvey, who recently celebrated his 51st birthday, defines “fly” as looking great, but also being healthy and spiritually strong.
“Shaving my head was more of a spiritual thing for me. I wanted to be free,” he says.
Well, I never thought I would see the day when Steve Heavy got a decent haircut. The eraser fro is finally gone - hallelujah!
