Rap superstar Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em has been criticized for his simple lyrics in the past, but a recent interview revealed that he is simple at heart.

The 18-year-old rapper was spotted on the red carpet at the BET Hip Hop awards in Atlanta last week. When a writer for The Daily Beast asked him which historical figure he hated most, the “Crank That” hitmaker was stumped until the reporter offered “Hitler, bin Laden, the slave masters…” as examples.

“Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters!” said Soulja Boy in response. “Without them we’d still be in Africa. We wouldn’t be here, to get this ice and tattoos.”

Apparently, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em isn’t letting 400 years of oppression halt plans for his sophomore album, “iSouljaboy,” which is scheduled to hit stores on December 16th via SOD Records/Collipark Records/Interscope Records.

Kanye West
Rap superstar Kanye West has written a post on his blog about the Ice-T vs. Soulja Boy beef. The Stronger hitmaker came to the defense of the 17-year-old rapper and said:

Soulja boy is fresh ass hell and is actually the true meaning of what hip hop is sposed to be. He came from the hood, made his own beats, made up a new saying, new sound and a new dance with one song. He had all of America rapping this summer. If that ain’t Hip Hop then what is? A bunch of wannabe keep it real rappers that ain’t even relevant, recycling samples trying to act like it’s 96 again and all they do is hate on new shit? Niggas always talk about the golden age but for a 13 year old kid, this is the golden age!!! That song was so dope cause everything he said had a hidden meaning… that’s Nas level shit… he just put it over some steel drums which is also some Nas shit if you had the 2nd album cassette with the bonus track “Silent Murder” on it. In closing… new niggas get ya money$$$$$$$$$$ Keep this shit fresh and original…. ain’t no fuckin’ rules to this shit and that’s what real hip hop is to me.

We don’t know about all that, but ultimately old school rappers are still the forefather of Soulja Boy’s nuts!

The “Cop Killer” hitmaker says he’s sorry for the comment, but Soulja Boy’s music is still garbage.

In a video posted on YouTube.com, the rapper-turned-actor alludes to a possible war between “Good Hip-Hop vs. Wack Hip-Hop”.

As the general of this war, Ice-T orders his son into battle. The 16-year-old then tells Soulja Boy to “eat a dick” because his music is wack.

You know what they say: “Like Father, Like Son”. SMH.

New school rapper Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em has struck back at old school rapper Ice-T for telling him to “eat a dick.”

In a recent video, the Crank That hitmaker issued the following response: “This nigga Ice-T is old as fuck! This nigga old enough to be my grandfather. He’s the forefather of my nuts. I Wikipedia’d this nigga, he was born in 1958. This nigga says he’s from the west coast, nigga, you was born in New Jersey! Mr. Tracy Lauren Morrow, you was born three centuries ago, my nigga!”

He then went on to suggest that Ice-T should consider a new line of work: “Quit nigga, why you still rappin’ for dog? Nobody wanna hear that shit no more. The reality of it is that the game has changed, there’s new nigga’s out, there’s young nigga’s eatin’, and nobody wanna hear that old shit no more. There are people who still want to hear it but they just ain’t dead yet. They old as fuck like you.”

Attempting to make a more serious argument, Soulja Boy explains where he’s been and why Ice-T should be more supportive: “You was wrong for that. Think about it in my shoes. This time last year I was poor as fuck. I was in the hood, I was in the ghetto. If what you living is true, you would understand where I’m coming from…I’m 17 years old, I worked hard for this shit. Even if I got all this off one song, you should be congratulating me. Real talk, you should be telling me congratulations young brother, get your money. That’s what you should be saying, instead of ‘eat a dick.’”
