Pop superstar Britney Spears has signed a deal with concert promoter AEG Live to produce her new stage show, which will begin touring next spring.
Billboard reports the singer, who hasn’t played a full string of live dates since her Onyx Hotel world tour in 2004, is set to perform in arenas on an “international scope”.
The pop princess revealed last month that she planned to hit the road to support her upcoming album, “Circus,” which is scheduled to be released on December 2nd, 2008 to coincide with her 27th birthday.
She said, “I am rehearsing for a tour around the world which will happen definitely next year. I cut Circus like two weeks ago. I’ve been working on this album for like six months now!”
AEG Live is the same company that booked sold-out multi-night runs for Prince and the Spice Girls at the O2 Arena in London and recently handled a sold-out world tour for Britney Spears’ ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

Alicia Keys was photographed performing on BET’s 106 and Park yesterday. Her new album “As I Am” will be released on November 13, 2007. The next single from her album will be the Timbaland produced “Like You’ll Never See Me Again,” which is said to have a “Purple Rain” type vibe a la Prince.
