Ashlee Simpson and her husband Pete Wentz have become parents for the first time after Jessica Simpson’s little sister gave birth to a baby boy on November 20, 2008.

The pop and rock star couple have named their son Bronx Mowgli Wentz, who was born measuring 20 1/2 inches and weighing 7 lbs., 11 oz.

“Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a representative for the happy parents told People magazine.

The “Pieces of Me” hitmaker and Fall Out Boy rocker announced their pregnancy in May after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony at her parents’ Los Angeles home just a few weeks earlier.

According to pop star Jessica Simpson, her pregnant sister Ashlee Simpson is trying “different foot massages and stuff” to jump start the labor of her first child.

Last month, Ashlee’s husband Pete Wentz admitted that the heavily pregnant singer could have their baby “at any point now”.

Speaking about her sibling’s pregnancy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which is scheduled to air tomorrow, Jessica said: “They’re going to have to [induce labor]. It’s already developing really quick.”

Explaining the different methods they had already used to begin labor, Jessica commented: “[They have tried] different foot massages and stuff. I don’t know. I think she’s really just jumping around trying everything right now.”

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are set to tie the knot at a at a “top secret” location this weekend.

The pseudo rock star pair have not sent out wedding invitations, “but instead guests have been given a save the date notice,” a source tells Us Weekly.

The rehearsal dinner, which will take place Friday, is to be “an intimate affair” for “family and close friends only”.

On Saturday, “all guests will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location,” the source explained.

It has been previously reported that Ashlee Simpson is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Ashlee Simpson and fiancé Pete Wentz are reportedly set to star in a new version of the MTV reality show, “Newlyweds”.

Simpson’s dad, Joe, wants to get Ashlee and Pete to take part in version 2 of the reality TV hit that brought his other daughter, Jessica, to stardom.

An inside source said, “He knows that no one cared about Jessica before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect.”

Well, let’s just hope Ashlee doesn’t follow Jessica Gary Coleman into divorce court!

The pop star is expecting her first child with fiancé Pete Wentz.

The pseudo rock star couple announced their engagement Wednesday.

“We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple,” a spokesperson for the couple told Us Weekly. “Beyond that there is nothing to say.”

Well, I got something to say: Ashlee Simpson is now officially on the baby bump watch! Congratulations!

The happy wife-to-be announced her engagement to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz in a statement on the website Friendsorenemies.com.

She said: “We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best.

“Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us.”

The lovely pair started dating in late 2006 and revealed to family and friends that they want to get married sooner rather than later.

A family source said: “They are ecstatic and can’t wait to be man and wife. They will be getting married before the end of the year.” …on the edge of your seat? Keep reading!

The happy couple then stopped by their local Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up, but received a bit of a letdown; the barista spelled the Ashlee’s name wrong!

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the dog, Hemingway has an ear infection, which means he won’t have the pleasure of hearing Ashlee sing for awhile! Poor thing!
