Former Atlanta Falcons star Michael Vick is back on the football field, but his salary isn’t what it used to be.
According to the New York Daily News, the jailed NFL player has been playing football with his fellow inmates at the United States Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, who has been communicating by letter with the athlete, says he is playing quarterback for both sides in cell-block pick-up games.
Blank told the Daily News: “He is staying in shape. Apparently, there was a prison football team and he played quarterback for both sides.”
The Falcons boss also says Vick is washing pots and pans for 12 cents an hour.
Blank said: “I just try to be supportive and as understanding as I can be.
“He talks about the process he is going through and what he has learned, the lessons of life, how he’s going to come out a different person. He’s sorry he has affected so many people in a negative way — the league, our club, our fans. He feels awful about that. The letters sound quite sincere to me. From a mental standpoint, he sounds good.”

Crumpler, Hall and Houston wore black eye strips with the message “MV-7,” Vick’s initials and uniform number, which the league called “displaying an unauthorized personal message.”
After scoring a touchdown, White pulled up his jersey, with help from Horn, to unveil a “Free Mike Vick” T-shirt.
