Mario Talks About His Mother’s Substance Abuse

Check out this trailer for Mario’s new MTV documentary, called I Won’t Love You to Death: The Story of Mario & His Mom, in which he addresses his mother’s substance abuse issues.
The R&B star stages an intervention that is caught on camera for the TV special, which airs on October 20th at 10PM EST on MTV (that’s tonight).
Mario said, “It really shows the struggle of her trying to get herself together and for me, being a son… It’s a really strong story. For those of you at home who are maybe going through the same thing, it sheds a different light on it… You don’t know what it’s like until you actually experience it. [It's about] someone who you love so much doing heroin and getting addicted to it and fighting it.”
The.DERRTY Truth is happy to report that Mario’s efforts have been worth it: His mother is very well now… Everything is beautiful!
