fashion Lindsay Lohan Launches Marilyn Monroe Inspired Legging Line

Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has launched her new 6126 legging collection at the exclusive department store Henri Bendel in New York City.

Wearing a pair of the designs herself, the aspiring fashionista arrived in a short black dress, platform patent heels and trademark black leggings, which featured holes and ladders.

The Mean Girls actress hopes to make these leggings a global phenomenon and expressed those sentiments on her MySpace blog. “I love to wear leggings, so it should come as no surprise that my first venture into the world of fashion design is with leggings!” Lindsay wrote. “Our holiday collection is pretty eclectic from gold zippers to leather detailing, to buttery soft cashmere. I hope you enjoy the collection as much as I enjoyed making it.”

Ms. Lohan named the fashion collection after Marilyn Monroe’s birth date, and described the original tabloid queen as, “timeless, confident, glam and that is the voice of this brand.”

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan has turned down a $700,000 offer to bare it all in Playboy magazine.

The Hollywood actress, who posed nude as screen icon Marilyn Monroe in New York magazine earlier this year, insists she won’t be peeling off again for Playboy’s upcoming 55th anniversary issue in January.

A representative for the Mean Girls star says, “If there’s nudity, the answer is no. She’s not going down that road again.”

Playboy’s creative consultant Hal Lifson reportedly wanted Ms. Lohan to pay tribute to ‘60s sex kitten Ann-Margret and her movie “Kitten with a Whip” in a sexy eight-page spread. The film is supposedly one of Lindsay’s faves.
