Mariah Carey was spotted sipping wine and eating oysters while vacationing with her husband, Nick Cannon, at Nikki Beach Resort in St. Bart’s on Tuesday, December 30.
The 38-year-old singer, who had previously cancelled a tour amid reports that she is expecting, recently told press that her hubby is more than qualified to be a great father. She said, “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad [than Nick Cannon].”
The “Touch My Body” hitmaker sparked pregnancy rumors after she refused a glass of champagne from Ellen DeGeneres when the TV host asked her if she was pregnant.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tied the knot in a secret Bahamas ceremony in April 2008 after falling in love on the set of the music video “Bye Bye,” which consists of multiple love scenes with the couple. Mariah Carey “is definitely pregnant,” according to a source quoted by The New York Post.
The R&B singer, who spent Christmas day in Aspen with husband Nick Cannon, was described by the source as “zaftig” and was said to have “tipped off her expectant state when she cut down her strenuous fitness regimen.”
The newspaper previously reported that Mimi had emerged from a well-known ob/gyn’s office on North Crescent Boulevard in Los Angeles, “clutching what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers.”
The 38-year-old sexy superstar has hinted she’ll keep any baby news secret if she becomes pregnant with the child of her 28-year-old husband, who she married in the Bahamas on April 30th. She said in a recent interview, “People are constantly asking me if I’m pregnant, but I don’t like to talk about it too much. I just think about it as the next phase. We’ll see.”

Newlywed lovebirds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were spotted wearing matching outfits on Christmas Eve in Aspen, Colorado.
The pair spent the afternoon shopping for last-minute gifts in preparation for their first Christmas together. Apparently, the R&B singer prepared a special feast to show her man she’s the perfect wife.
“I am going to cook at Christmas time,” said Mariah, who planned to serve up her late father’s festive favorite, linguini and white clams.

Mariah Carey Premieres Her ‘Right to Dream’ Music Video from the Movie ‘Tennessee’

R&B diva Mariah Carey is starring in another singer role in the music video for “Right to Dream”, the first single from the soundtrack of “Tennessee”.
The “Glitter” actress embarks on a journey as an aspiring singer named Krystal, who leaves her power hungry husband behind to pursue her dream in the country music capital of the world.
In the movie, Krystal brings the house down at an open-mic night with a cathartic performance of “I’ve Got the Right to Dream”. The song was written by Mariah Carey and country legend Willie Nelson, who plays the guitar in the recorded version of the single.
“It was a different experience from an album project. I was very close to the story and in particular my character’s struggle, so it made it easier for me as a writer. I just began channeling Krystal’s pain and hope,” Mariah said, elaborating on her songwriting process. “The song is basically a three-act play and chronicles the evolution of Krystal.” “Right to Dream” is being heavily pushed for an Academy Award nomination in the “Best Song” category.

Nick Cannon Buys $1.5 Million Ski Lodge For Mariah Carey

Nick Cannon has reportedly spent a whopping $1.5 million on a luxury five-bedroom ski lodge in Aspen, Colorado as a romantic Christmas gift for his lovely wife, Mariah Carey.
“Nick is clearly still in the honeymoon phase. He’s shocked all their pals by going out of his way to buy Mariah this beautiful sanctuary,” a source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror.
“He doesn’t want her to go to the hassle of renting. He knows Aspen is one of her favorite places in the world so this is his early Christmas present to her,” added the source.
Nick is also said to have bought diamond rings for Mariah to find in each of the rooms.

Mariah Carey Talks About Stripping Down For Christmas

Newlywed Mariah Carey has revealed that she likes to celebrate the holiday season by stripping down with her closest friends.
The singer, who married actor Nick Cannon earlier this year, is looking forward to her first Christmas as a wife. “I always get Santa lingerie, even if nobody sees it,” the 39-year-old tells Redbook magazine for its December issue. “But this year it will be appreciated!”
Stripping down for Xmas is apparently a Mariah Carey holiday tradition. “[My girlfriends and I] go in the hot tub in our Christmas bikinis, then roll in the fresh snow and jump back in,” says the pop diva, whose Yuletide swimwear usually consists of “a red bikini with a Santa hat.”
However, that doesn’t mean the “Touch My Body” hitmaker isn’t excited about starting new holiday traditions with Nick Cannon. “I’m really looking forward to being in love on Christmas,” she says. “The holidays are always great, but being in love … is going to be the icing on the cake.”

Soul diva Mariah Carey has revealed that she abstained from having sex with now hubby Nick Cannon until they were married.
The pop superstar, who started dating the rapper/actor in February and married him in the Bahamas in April after just two months of knowing him, told Britain’s Daily Mirror that the wait was well worth it.
She said, “It’s not that we had no intimacy. It’s just me, and my feelings. I definitely don’t want to push it on anybody else. But we both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married. And it was, and it still is.”
As the celebrity couple celebrates their six-month anniversary, the “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time” hitmaker has declared she has never been happier.

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon held an exclusive Halloween costume party at Marquee in New York City on October 30th, 2008.
The happily married couple dressed in matching outfits and made a smoking hot entrance at the party, which doubled as a celebration for their six-month wedding anniversary.
The Touch My Body singer wore a red jeweled bra, a velour scarlet skirt and some silky red thigh-high stockings under a fireman’s jacket. She completed the look with a New York fire department hat, a reflective belt and a pair of PVC boots. Her 28-year-old husband also dressed up as a fireman, but took the role very seriously, wearing the full and official fire department uniform.
After a quick costume change, the 38-year-old singer came out dressed as a chocolate chip cookie. “It’s just like a two-piece little number, and it’s made out of the chocolate chip cookie fabric. R&B superstar Mariah Carey has denied speculation that her marriage to actor Nick Cannon is on the rocks.
Rumors have been swirling that the couple, who wed in April after a whirlwind six-week romance, have already started experiencing relationship troubles.
However, the Touch My Body hitmaker insisted that her “life is beautiful”, telling MTV: “[When I hear that] things are rocky and hazy and messed up… I’m like, ‘Why would we have gotten married to do that?’
“People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don’t know. I’m ecstatic, so be ecstatic with me! Be happy with me. Can we celebrate?”

Could there be trouble in paradise for Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey?
Life & Style Magazine reports: Nick Cannon worked on the set of wife Mariah Carey’s video shoot for her single “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time” in Oahu, Hawaii, on June 9. But instead of co-starring as Mariah’s love interest, Nick, 27, assisted the pop star between takes.
Some close to the couple fear Nick’s subservient status is a sign the couple’s union is headed for trouble. “I give the marriage six months, tops,” reveals an insider close to Mariah. “I can’t see it lasting.”
When asked to give her opinion on the quickie marriage of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Divorce Court’s Judge Lynn Toler said, “In general three to four weeks is not enough time…if they are that in love they can wait 6 months.”
