Madonna has reportedly reached a £32 million ($47.5 million) divorce settlement with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, so he can buy homes in New York and London to be close to their three children.
According to Britain’s News of the World newspaper, the Material Girl singer will give Guy a cash sum of £12 million and the couple’s 1,200 acre Ashcombe House country estate in Wiltshire that is worth £20 million. Ritchie will also keep his £3 million ($4.4 million) Punchbowl pub. Legally he could have been entitled to claim up to half the £120 million fortune she accumulated during their seven-and-a-half year marriage.
The cash will help him purchase property in New York and London, so they can share custody of their two sons Rocco and David. Madonna’s daughter Lourdes has a different dad.
A source close to the RocknRolla director said, “He is getting one lump sum imminently. Guy wanted to stay in their London home but Madonna refused to split it in two, and eventually gave him £12 million as compensation. She decided early on that he should get Ashcombe. Guy’s ducked out of fighting over her fortune, even though he could be entitled to a big chunk. He never wanted any cash handouts. He agreed with Madonna’s demands to keep the peace.”

Britney Spears Wants Justin Timberlake For US Tour

Pop star Britney Spears has reportedly asked her Justin Timberlake to perform on her US tour.
According to Now Magazine, the “Womanizer” hitmaker is planning a circus-themed extravaganza and wants Pharrell Williams, Madonna and her ex-boyfriend to join her on stage.
The tour will kick off March 3rd, 2009 in New Orleans and then make stops in 27 cities. She’ll close out the American tour on April 28th in Chicago and kick off the UK leg of her road trip in London, where she has two performances planned on June 3rd and June 4th.
In related news, Ms. Spears is on track to debut at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 after selling over two hundred thousand copies of her new album, “Circus,” in a day. Sales figures indicate that the album could sell more than 450,000 copies by the end of the first week.

Madonna & Guy Ritchie Granted ‘Quickie’ Divorce

Singer Madonna and director husband Guy Ritchie were granted a “quickie” divorce in a London court today after eight years of marriage.
The pop superstar petitioned for divorce on the grounds of Ritchie’s unreasonable behavior and she said the behavior was continuing.
Judge Phillip Waller accepted a settlement agreement reached by the pair over their assets and children. They are parents to adopted Malawi son David Banda and Rocco, who was several months old on their wedding day in December 2000.
Madonna will reportedly keep most of her $445 million fortune, and share custody with Ritchie of Rocco and David. Ritchie, who was entitled under English divorce law to as much as half her wealth, will also keep their 1,200-acre estate in Wiltshire. “Ritchie could have taken her to the cleaners. He is a very honorable man to have walked away,” a source told Britain’s The Evening Standard.

Madonna To Be Named New Face Of Louis Vuitton

Pop superstar Madonna is set to be the new face of French luxury brand Louis Vuitton, according to new reports.
According to Style.com, the Material Girl singer will be the face of the fashion giant’s spring 2009 campaign. An all-star team has been lined-up for the collaboration.
Celebrity fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have reportedly teamed up to shoot the star for the project.
If the Queen of Pop is chosen, she’ll follow in the footsteps of Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson and Uma Thurman as the leading lady of the luxury goods company.

Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake To Reunite At Madonna Show Tonight

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will be performing alongside Madonna on her Sticky & Sweet tour on Thursday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest broke the news Wednesday afternoon during a call to 102.7 KIIS-FM. He told DJ Boy Toy Jesse, “They are going to be onstage performing with Madonna.”
The two singers, who dated for four years, have collaborated with the Material Girl in the past. However, they haven’t been spending much quality time together in recent years.
“If Justin and Britney end up on that stage with her…I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything quite like that before,” DJ Ryan Seacrest said on air. “Expect some real serious surprises.”

It’s Official: Madonna And Guy Ritchie Are Divorcing

Madonna and Guy Ritchie have issued a statement confirming their rumored split.
“Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time,” says a statement given to the Associated Press.
The singer’s spokeswoman says the couple had not agreed to a settlement yet.
“Guy Ritchie is responsible for wanting this divorce now,” a source tells The Derrty Truth. “He didn’t want to wait to break the news, it had gone on long enough. This marriage was over a long time ago.”
The breaking news comes after British tabloids reported Wednesday morning that a divorce announcement was imminent.
The pair, who married in Skibo Castle Scotland in 2000, have two children together, Rocco and adopted son David Banda. Madonna also looks after daughter Lourdes from a previous relationship.

Madonna And Guy Ritchie Want A Divorce Finalized By Christmas

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are scheduled to announce their divorce within the next 48 hours, according to tabloid reports.
British tabloid The Sun reports the couple is set to release a statement confirming the end of their marriage as they “can’t bear to live with the pretence any longer.”
“The amount of time each devotes to their careers” has made their relationship get worse as it often causes them to get involved in heated “shouting matches.”
“Despite huge attempts to patch things up they both knew deep down that divorce was on the cards. It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when’,” a “highly-placed source” says. “They tried hard over the last few months but their fighting was getting out of control.”
The pop superstar and her filmmaker husband have been dealing with rumors that their eight-year marriage is coming to an end since the beginning of the year. As of late, the singer was accused of having an affair with New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriquez.
Madonna’s high-powered spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg flatly denied her celebrity client had an affair with A-Rod, saying, “Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.”
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old Queen of Pop is in the middle of her Sweet & Sticky world tour and the 40-year-old film director has allegedly postponed work on his new Sherlock Holmes movie to speak to his parents about the break-up. Both parties hope to have a divorce finalized by Christmas.

Madonna was pictured Friday leaving the Kaballah Center in New York looking grim and fatigued. However, her publicist insists the pop superstar is perfectly healthy.
The singer’s representative, Liz Rosenberg, has denied reports the 49-year-old is suffering from ill health and blames the sudden weight loss on grueling rehearsals for her upcoming world tour.
Liz tells People magazine, “I just think the photographer got a bad shot of her or it was touched up to make her look bad.
“I saw Madonna two days before… and she looked amazing - glowing skin and working really hard on her show.
“She may look a little thinner than usual but she was dancing and singing better than ever and ate a nice healthy meal.”

Pop superstar Madonna loves getting older because she believes she is becoming more attractive with age.
The singer feels more fit, toned and attractive than ever as she approaches her 50th birthday in August.
She explains, “I like the way I look better now. My thighs aren’t as chubby. I’m not kidding. I’m being perfectly honest.”
However, the 4 Minutes star admits that she never thought of herself as a natural beauty.
She says, “I see myself as practical and handsome and useful. I don’t think of myself as a great beauty. But I think of myself as stylish.”
