Lloyd Banks has dropped a new mixtape entitled “Cold Corner,” which attempts to reestablish the rapper as a talented lyricist to be reckoned with.
The rap star’s second album “Rotten Apple” was released in 2006 and sold a significantly lower number of copies than his debut album, so it wound up a commercial failure.
G-Unit producer Sha Money XL recently sat down with MTV to discuss Lloyd Banks’ third album, Gang Green. He said, “The album he’s working on is amazing and he’s coming back like Jay-Z after Sunshine. Sometimes you get that one album that doesn’t connect, but Banks’ fans are still with him.” He added, “He’s still touring and doing shows like shit is all the way right. He’s coming to beat their heads in — he on some lyrical exercise.”
The “On Fire” hitmaker’s next album will reportedly be released as a double-disc set in 2009.

Rap star 50 Cent has accused 106 & Park host Rocsi of being promiscuous.
The rapper phoned into Washington, D.C.’s WKYS-FM radio station Tuesday during Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks’ “G-Unit Takeover” to respond to the BET host’s recent jabs towards him.
“What’s the girl’s name from 106 & Park?” 50 mockingly asked. “She said something crazy on the tape. My first reaction towards it was, I should probably tell people who she is for real. She’s a pop. I know like four people she slept with.
“So it’s favoritism when you sit on the couch,” he continued. “‘Cause I ain’t got time to sleep with you and hang with you to make you like me when I come on the show. That’s just not how I do things. I knew it’s been this way for a long time, it just actually came out now.”
The 50/Rosci feud began when Rosci called Fif’s latest album, “Garbage,” during a red carpet event last summer.

Fat Joe To Host “Gay Unit” Mixtape

The feud between Fat Joe and 50 Cent continues as affiliates of Fat Joe prepare to release a new mixtape aimed at G-Unit.
Gay Unit Vol. 1 is a direct response to 50 Cent’s latest video attack on Fat Joe, in which the In Da Club hitmaker holds a mock funeral for the heavyweight star and claims his career is over.
The mixtape will be hosted by Fat Joe and poke fun at G-Unit by showing pictures of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo with lipstick smeared on their faces.
