A bench-clearing brawl at an Ohio minor league baseball game sent one fan to the hospital and a pitcher to jail.
The brawl erupted in Dayton, Ohio between the Single A Dayton Dragons and the Peoria Chiefs after an argument between managers.
Needless to say, the fight spread to the players and Chiefs pitcher Julio Castillo angrily threw a ball at a Dragons player.
Unfortunately it missed and hit a fan in the stands, who was rushed to the Miami Valley hospital.
The ten-minute melee was broken up by police and umpires ejected 15 players and the team’s managers.
Castillo, who is from the Dominican Republic, was charged with felonious assault and ordered to surrender his passport. If convicted, the 21-year-old could face up to eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
