David Beckham has revealed that his mother was unhappy with pictures of him posing in his underwear for Emporio Armani.
The advertising campaign featured a black and white photo of the soccer hunk sitting in a pair of tighty whities.
A grinning David Beckham told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show this week that he found it hard to explain the pictures to his mom.
He said: “I was so nervous about doing that campaign because obviously I’ve done photoshoots before, but I’ve never done photoshoots in my underwear.
“I was quite nervous because obviously I knew my wife and friends were going to see it. And my mum was going to see it.
“When the photos first came out, she was the first one to call me and say, ‘What are you doing?’ I tried explaining it to her, but she didn’t really get it.”

Victoria Beckham has revealed that she stays in shape by having sex with husband David.
The Spice Girl dismissed speculation that she maintains her slim n’ trim body by throwing up in the bathroom after every meal, saying she prefers to lose weight in the bedroom.
Posh told OK! Magazine: “Some women ask if I’m so thin because I shag all day.
“And I say, ‘Actually, yes! And I bet you would too if you were married to David Beckham’.”

The Spice Girl star picked out a sweet surprise for her husband David Beckham.
The card read, “I can’t (bear) to be without you” - with gummy bear treats in place of the word “bear”.
Victoria’s youngest son Cruz joined her on the outing. Let’s hope he can keep a secret for a few days.

The Beckhams have left their three sons in the care of Victoria’s parents, so they can party like rock stars on the Spice Girls’ world tour.
Victoria recently described their life on tour, “We are having the time of our lives. It hasn’t been like this for years — since before our first son Brooklyn was born.
“We’ve had two nights out on the trot (in a row), which have been really messy and we are loving it. We have been lying in every day watching films as we haven’t got the kids. We are behaving like rock stars — late-night drinking on tour.”
When the kids are away, Victoria and Mel B will play!

Victoria Beckham has put her husband David Beckham on blast by revealing some sexy secrets about their love life in a new magazine interview.
The Spice Girls star embarrassed her husband during a recent interview with Elle Magazine at the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion in Los Angeles.
She told the January 2008 issue of the style magazine that she sleeps without clothes because, “I’m going to be naked if I’m getting in bed with him every night!”
The shameless fashionista then asked her husband, “Would you like me to add that you have a large penis?”
David Beckham was left speechless, but after a while he smiled and said, “No comment! I agree with everything my wife says.”
How obedient! Posh has trained David well. I bet she’s even taught him a few tricks!

Soccer’s biggest star, David Beckham, has been signed up to model underwear for fashion house Armani.
The deal, reportedly worth $30 million, will see the sports star promote the designer undergarments over the next three years until 2010.
Beckham shot his first advertising campaign under the deal on Friday, which will start showing up in magazines and billboards early next year.
