Lil Wayne: Cocaine Ruined My Good Looks
May 13th, 2008 | Posted in Celebrity Gossip, Magazines, Music News

Hip-Hop superstar Lil Wayne has stopped using cocaine, because the drug ruins his good looks.
The rapper tells Blender Magazine, “I don’t do too many (drugs). I just smoke weed and drink. But I’ll never fuck with no more coke. It’s not about the bad high, it’s just about the acne: Cocaine makes your face break out. I’m a pretty boy.”
He also thanked rap rival 50 Cent for calling him a “whore,” because the insult has made him famous among white people.
Lil Wayne says, “Man, I have to call him and say thank you. He’s catapulted me (to fame). White people know me now. Thank you!”
However, the Lollipop hitmaker admits he would be far too scared to comeback at the G-Unit general and start a war of words, saying, “Fuck no. That nigger thrives off that. I am not feeding that tiger. I’m smart. Do you see his size? I’m small.
“This nigga’s the hardest nigga on planet earth. So, no, I’m not dissing 50.”

Alicia Keys Explains Her Conspiracy Theories
April 16th, 2008 | Posted in Celebrity News, Magazines, Music News

R&B superstar Alicia Keys has clarified her controversial remarks about gangster rap that appear in the May 2008 issue of Blender Magazine.
The multiplatinum songstress told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday that those comments were “misinterpreted” and she’s “disappointed with the “madness” surrounding the article.
She explained, “I feel that I wasn’t a hundred per cent clear on what I was saying and so, because of that, it got slightly misinterpreted, and somehow it got misinterpreted that I was saying that the government was creating gangsta rap - and that’s not what I was saying. What I was saying was that the term gangsta rap was so over sloganized during that time…
“That’s what I was trying to talk about. In so many ways, everyday people, as well as the government, could have really done so much more to sorta obliterate and eradicate the things that were going on in the communities at that time that forced the artists to discuss and talk about, so strongly, what they saw, what they lived with.
“I don’t regret doing this interview; overall it was a great article. It was merely a line or two that has provoked all of this madness. I regret that a negative spin has been put (on it).”

Alicia Keys: ‘Gangsta Rap’ Was A Ploy To Kill Black People
April 13th, 2008 | Posted in Celebrity News, Music News

R&B superstar Alicia Keys has revealed that she believes “‘gangsta rap’ was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other.”
According to an interview in the May 2008 issue of Blender Magazine, The Grammy-Award winning singer said that the East Coast-West Coast feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled “by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing.”
Ms. Keys also said she’s read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck “to symbolize strength, power and killing ‘em dead.”
And that’s not all; the multiplatinum songstress also revealed that she wants to write more political songs. She feels that if black leaders like the late Black Panther Huey Newton “had the outlets our musicians have today, it’d be global. I have to figure out a way to do it myself.”
Alicia’s conspiracy theories and AK-47 jewelry came as a big surprise to her mother, who is quoted as telling Blender magazine, “She wears what? That doesn’t sound like Alicia.” …on the edge of your seat? Keep reading!

Blender Magazine has predicted that Lil Wayne will die in 2026 at the age of 44.
The popular publication calculated the time of death for the southern rapper through “super scientific” means.
Gerontologist Dr. David J. Demko said: “Guns, drugs and a hot temper don’t mix. In order for Lil Wayne to increase his longevity, he needs to seriously concentrate on staying out of jail.”
