Could there be trouble in paradise for Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey?

Life & Style Magazine reports: Nick Cannon worked on the set of wife Mariah Carey’s video shoot for her single “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time” in Oahu, Hawaii, on June 9. But instead of co-starring as Mariah’s love interest, Nick, 27, assisted the pop star between takes.

Some close to the couple fear Nick’s subservient status is a sign the couple’s union is headed for trouble. “I give the marriage six months, tops,” reveals an insider close to Mariah. “I can’t see it lasting.”

When asked to give her opinion on the quickie marriage of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Divorce Court’s Judge Lynn Toler said, “In general three to four weeks is not enough time…if they are that in love they can wait 6 months.”

Swizz Beatz Addresses Rumors Of Affair With Alicia Keys

Super-producer Swizz Beatz recently sat down with MTV News to address rumors that he’s divorcing his wife, Mashonda, to be with Grammy Award-winning singer Alicia Keys.

“Everybody can have their fun right now talking that dumb shit about my divorce and all that. I’mma give them something to talk about. People get divorced every fuckin’ day. They need to worry about more serious things.”

The big rumor in the tabloids is that Swizz and his wife broke up over the proverbial “other woman.” What made the story so sensational was that the alleged mistress in this case was Grammy winner Alicia Keys. Swizz dismissed it.

“It ain’t even bad. My divorce, it ain’t nothing bad. It’s just us moving on. Me and Shonda are super good. It is what it is. [The press] are nine months late on the situation. It’s a headache to me. We been separated nine or 10 months already. I’m not hiding anything,” he added. “I can see if I was hiding something. I’m a grown man. Nobody is living no perfect life. Mashonda has a single coming out that I funded, photo shoots that I funded. We made our statement that we’re still working together. They didn’t wanna believe it. I said I would be continuing to support her career. Nobody wants to look at that shit. They wanna look at ‘Alicia Keys.’ That shit is ignorant.”

Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz To Star In Newlyweds Part Deux

Ashlee Simpson and fiancé Pete Wentz are reportedly set to star in a new version of the MTV reality show, “Newlyweds”.

Simpson’s dad, Joe, wants to get Ashlee and Pete to take part in version 2 of the reality TV hit that brought his other daughter, Jessica, to stardom.

An inside source said, “He knows that no one cared about Jessica before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect.”

Well, let’s just hope Ashlee doesn’t follow Jessica Gary Coleman into divorce court!

Gary Coleman And Wife To Appear On Divorce Court

The honeymoon is over for former child star Gary Coleman and his new bride, Shannon Price.

The 40-year-old actor and his 22-year-old wife are set to appear on TV’s “Divorce Court” on May 1st and 2nd. The couple wed in August after meeting on the set of the 2006 comedy “Church Ball.”

Among the problems the pair discusses with Judge Lynn Toler are Gary’s anger and intimacy issues. Gary and Shannon agree they have “ugly” monthly fights.

“If he doesn’t get his way, he throws a temper tantrum like a five- year-old does,” Shannon says. “He like stomps the floor and yells, ‘Meehhhh,’ and starts throwing stuff around. He bashes his head in the wall, too.”

Gary says he gets frustrated because “the male is always the bad guy.”

“When I try to state my case or explain things to her or try to get her to understand my point of view,” Gary says, “my point of view doesn’t matter.”

Shannon also complains that Gary has no friends and inexplicably disappears from home in the middle of the night. When Judge Toler presses him, Gary admits he is negative.

“I don’t have any friends and don’t have any intention of making any,” he says. “People will stab you in the back, mistreat you, talk about me behind your back, steal from you. And they’re not really your friends. (They’re) only there because you’re a celebrity or because they want to get something from you.”

Gary went on to describe the couple’s private life as “mediocre.”

“It’s not her fault,” he says. “I always feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders every day I get up. … There are days I don’t even want to get up.”

Swizz Beatz And Wife Call It Quits

Super-producer Swizz Beatz and his R&B singer wife Mashonda have called it quits after four years of marriage.

The couple wed in 2004 and has a son, Kassem Jr., who was born in January 2007. They will maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their child.

A rep for the musician, born Kasseem Dean, tells AllHipHop, “Their union was one shared in love and deep admiration for one another. For the last seven months, the two have been working on establishing a formidable friendship, being great parents to their son, and remaining great supporters of each other’s careers.

“The couple has asked that their privacy be respected at this time.”
