Amy Winehouse has started taking methadone as a means to get well for the BRIT Awards.
The troubled singer is expected to be in top form at Wednesday night’s ceremony. She has agreed to perform her single “Love Is A Losing Game,” as well as “Valerie” with Mark Ronson.
A source tells the Sunday Mirror, “Amy would be far too sick if she was made to go through complete cold turkey. [Medics] have accepted the important thing at the moment is to get her through the awards shows.”
The star’s father, Mitchell Winehouse, has claimed that “Amy’s doing really well and really getting better. There has been a fantastic change.”
