Amy Winehouse has been denied a U.S. visa and will not be allowed to attend this week’s Grammy Awards.
According to The Sun, officials found traces of an unspecified illegal drug in her blood stream following the test at the U.S. Embassy in London.
Amy’s rep insists that she accepts the ban, but friends have revealed that the troubled singer is “gutted” by the news.
Sources claim that the Grammy-nominated singer was “desperate” to appear in Los Angeles on Sunday, and worry the news may affect her battle with drugs.
An insider said, “It was her main incentive to get clean. It’s a blow.”
However, Amy Crackhouse is now expected to perform by satellite at the annual awards ceremony.
